I gave them a five star, I enjoyed the good. We had dinner buffet. I enjoyed a lot of their food, meat was tender and all their dishes were tasty. I liked their fresh authentic naans. Compare their buffet price to a la carte and you are saving a lot of money. Compliments to the chef. I would have liked to see authentic fresh samosas 👍.

Been to this place many times for the buffet and enjoyed it. However, ordered takeout this time and was extremely disappointed. The food was less than decent. Feels like they added a preservative that makes you feel extremely bloated....never felt like this when I had the buffet. Now let’s talk about the price for the quantity....atrocious!!!! The portions were so small for the price of each dish. The naans were good but the roti and parathas were horrible!! Tasted like frozen ones. Almost seems like this place is under new management. The food has gone downhill big time!! Wish I chose a better place to spent $100...

Good food at reasonable prices. They have decent vegetarian options for vegans/vegetarians and plenty for meat eaters as well. I like that the restaurant is transparent with what ingredients are in the dishes, making things easier for people like me who have many allergies. The waiting staff are friendly, but the waiters are a bit slow to respond and it can be a bit tricky getting their attention. The food arrives quite though.

Buffet was very good, atmosphere a little dark for a resturant.

Cozy lil' Mom and Pop and son place where the ambiance is like family. Good selection of food, and tasty. Very humble and helpful staff, and did I mention cozy?! Lol. Discovered it last two wks and have been back 3times.

Service was great! Great value for buffet. The food was tasty but I wish the food was hot, or at least warmer!!!

This restaurant is nice and spacious, the meals was delicious and the rates were very economical. fast, effective service and very friendly waiters. I highly recommend this place.

Good buffet selection. Food is fresh and hot. We got naan bread brought to the table. There is a bar, and Indian beer available. Plenty of parking outside. Friendly service and casual atmosphere. Food and drinks for 4 of us came to less than $100. Overall a nice restaurant at a decent price

I am fond of eating indian food and was in a search of a good restaurant. Geneuinely, mumbay grill serves you the best variety of indian cuisine. I went there with my friend for dinner and i was mesmarized with the taste of food over there. Their buffet was amazing with multiple options on both veg and non veg items. Saying that, the employees over there are super humble.I would definately like to visit Mumbay grill time and again for experiencing such a wonderful variety of indian food.

We ordered through skip the dishes and everything was amazing. Went big and ordered a lot of different kinds of dishes - they’re all amazing. Even the side salad had a delicious dressing. Highly recommend!

One of the best places is Durham area. Loved the way the staff approached for when we placed catering orders. Food was sufficient for 15 adults, all our guests liked the food. Delivery was on time as well. Highly recommended!

Great vegetarian options. Love coming here.. very filling and not at all expensive. Buffet comes with fresh warm naan.

For the price they offer and the variety of food this place should have 5 stars however the taste leaves a lot of things to be desired. I would not say they are bad outright, but the flavours are a miss, the appetizers were not well thought off tandoori items do not tend to sit as well as a semi wet appetizers in the heating dishes. The naan that was served first time around on our table was cold and tasted somewhat like a frozen to heated naan instead of the fresh made claim but upon bringing this to the waiter's notice we were served fresh naan which was way better. Overall a good place for students or people on a budget our lunch for two costed us 30$.

Mumbay Grill is a go to spot for Indian food. We normally eat at the buffet and they deliver fresh, hot garlic naan to the table. The food is always hot and well cooked and there are so many delicious flavors to enjoy. The restaurant itself is decorated in traditional attire. It is a comfortable atmosphere.

Excellent food! The lunch buffet is amazing and the prices are very fair.

This was my first visit here and I had a recommended fish dish and it was wonderful! They also have a buffet option to the menu.The tablecloth wasn't replaced after the previous patrons so it had a little food on it. I also had to do a wipe of my cutlery.The washroom was very clean.Overall the food is great but I hope that they make more effort with their cleanliness.

Normally come here for the lunch and dinner buffet for the past few years. The service, flavours of the buffet food is good, and the freshly made naan bread which is delivered to your table is a great touch. Price is fair at $15 for lunch and $17 for dinner. There is no difference with the food selection between lunch and dinner. Only downside to this restaurant is the steam tables where the buffet trays sits in needs to be set at a higher temperature and the dining area lighting is always dim. I would say about half of our visits the temperature of the buffet food is on the cool side and this is why I deducted a star.

There’s a small selection for the buffet for lunch. Honestly, it’s a fairly good menu/food for an affordable price of $15. I couldn’t stop getting their butter chicken! I would go back here just to eat butter chicken. LolService was great too. The waiter working that day was very attentive to us and he automatically cleaned our table and took our empty plates and replenished our glasses with water.I would definitely come back here.

The buffet here is amazing. It's not a place that I noticed when driving by many times, a friend recommended it to me. So happy that we went. The food is delicious, and filling as well. Usually at a buffet I get 3 or 4 modest plates in. I could only fit 2 plates (again, modest amount of food). They are doing something right here. Check it out.

Great place for indian food

I gave the restaurant 4 stars because of the decor since the restaurant is "old". The food, however is a 5 especially considering the prices.The buffet (see photos) offers lots of tasty varieties and the service is prompt. The restaurant has plenty of parking right next to the front door.please see photos of the pages of their takeout menu.Washrooms are dated but clear and they do NOT have any offensive odor.

The service is great!! The shrimp masala and the butter chicken tasted so good and it was a nice quiet evening so we got extra special treatment! :)

My experience at this place has been great, I been there a few times now and the food is delicious.It has buffet option or you can order, but the price between ordering and buffet is so small, it is always worth it to go the buffet route. I also did not notice a taste difference between the buffet food and ordered dishes

Very popular location for lunch and dinner. Nice Indian food, always fresh and tasty. Ample seating for groups. The lunch open buffet is amazing, they have freshly baked Naan and other nice delicacies. The desert bar is small but very satisfying. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Parking is free and the place is wheel chair accessible. Overall a very pleasant lunch or dinner experience with authentic Indian food.

Came for the lunch buffet and really enjoyed the food. Everything was fresh and hot! The food was very tasty but not too spicy and they serve you fresh nana at the table! Really enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and background music.

Liked the Kadhai Paneer, Biryani and naan. Taste has been changed from our past visit.

Great Indian restaurant in Durham. Consistently satisfied with the food. The chicken tikka is a particularly good dish here. A bit on the pricey side however I've yet to find better East of Scarborough.

Just had buffet at Mumbai grill and to be very honest it was very disappointing and disgusting. I was one of the regular customer and used to order from menu. First time I had buffet and all the things were dry and not fresh at all. Rice were not chewable at all it seems like it's been sitting there for 5 days. Fritters were hard and curries were smelling somehow. Spending 36$ for two people on buffet was like throwing money in trash. I would never go there in my whole life at all. People need to be aware seriously of what they are eating. I am just sharing my bad experience so that I can make other people aware about this restaurants and buffet doesn't mean you can serve anything to your customer just for your profits.

its first time i carried home their food, i found it great and delicious. perfect option for authentic Indian foods. Butter chicken was amazing. Reasonable price, staff was attentive. love to visit back again and expecting the same qualities.
